I want to give a HUGE shout out to Dr. Thomas Graf and his staff at Graf Family Dental! I woke up about 4 AM in terrible pain with a tooth. I texted Dr. Graf around 6 this morning and was sitting in his office, in a chair at 6:30! Thank you guys! I appreciate everything you did for me today! If you don’t have a family dentist, I HIGHLY, recommend you check them out!!
Born and raised in Wheelersburg, Dr. Graf grew up thinking his dentist (Dr. Jerry Burleson) was the coolest guy he knew. For his 6th birthday, Dr. Burleson gave him a signed picture of Michael Jordan, which at the time meant more to Dr. Graf than anything else he could have received. This unforgettable childhood moment inspired Dr. Graf to pursue a career in dentistry and ultimately serve the people of his hometown!
I absolutely love serving people, giving back to the community where I grew up, and meeting the growing need for excellent dental care in Scioto County. Being a dentist allows me to combine my passion for clinical dentistry with my deep desire to help people.
Dr. Graf went on to complete both his undergraduate business degree and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at The Ohio State University. During his time at The OSU College of Dentistry, he was the only student out of his class of 112 to complete a full year of residency during his 4th year of training. This not only allowed Dr. Graf to gain nearly triple the experience of his peers, but it also gave him the opportunity to become a surgical extern at the famed Midwest Implant Institute. He's known as a meticulous clinician with a passionate heart for people.
Furthering his passion for dental surgery and helping others, Dr. Graf regularly mentors at one of the biggest implant continuing education centers in the country: Implant Pathway. There, he teaches other surgeons how to practice surgery at the highest level and with the most success.
Beyond serving patients, both locally and overseas in Honduras, he loves spending time with his wife, Kayla, and their daughters, Kamila and Aria. Dr. Graf also enjoys the Buckeyes, Bengals, and Reds, woodworking, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and taking advantage of all the little things that make small-town Ohio the best place to live!
Dr. Chase Culbertson is passionate about restoring smiles through surgery. He loves seeing patients experience their new smile for the first time as they gain their confidence back. Full arch treatments are his specialty and he enjoys serving patients with this need. He also has a love for photography and enjoys blending his two passions in the office.
He received his undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University. Continually expanding his knowledge and skills, he takes courses in various types of implants such as zygomatic implants.
He loves spending time outdoors running, biking, hiking, snowboarding, golfing, or hanging out with his Aussiedoodle, Kubo. As a professional photographer outside the office, he likes shooting engagement and wedding photos. He also enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Hannah, and gardening together.
Born and raised in Wheelersburg, Dr. Tyler Stidham is excited to provide dental care to the people of his hometown. His love for dentistry began in middle school when he met a local orthodontist, Dr. Parekh. They discussed their shared passion for aviation and had many inspiring conversations about dentistry. Their relationship played a significant role in Dr. Stidham’s interest in and pursuit of dentistry.
He graduated with his undergraduate degree from Shawnee State University and completed his MBA at Louisiana State University Shreveport. Moving to Missouri, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from A.T. Still University – Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health. He was actively involved in the community through Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity, The Flying Dentists Association, and The American Student Dentists Association.
During dental school, Dr. Stidham mentored underclassmen and peers on complex restorative and surgical procedures. He seized every opportunity to take on more complex cases to expand his knowledge and hone his skills. Continuing his education, he participated in many courses including dental implant training and Botox and dermal filler courses. He continues to pursue training through the Implant Pathways curriculum that his mentor, Dr. Graf, completed.
He loves spending time with his wife, Julianna, their son, Jet, and their tiny Goldendoodle, Piper. Beyond dentistry, he is a private pilot, a scuba diver, a woodworker, and a parrot head (Jimmy Buffet fan). He also loves all things ocean including fishing, boating, and eating seafood. Having visited over 10 countries, he also loves to travel and spend time outdoors.
